New Glossier CEO Colin Walsh makes his first C-suite hire while Makeup by Mario appoints a new president, and Charlotte Tilbury Beauty has a new CMO.  On the strategic side, Puig finalizes its succession plan with Jose Manuel Albesa taking the reins, as talks of a merger with The Estée Lauder Companies swirl.  Jose Manuel Albesa has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Puig after having served as the group’s deputy CEO. Marc Puig, Chairman and CEO since 2004, is to remain as the company’s Executive Chairman. Succession for the Spanish beauty conglomerate has been under consideration over the past few years.Puig appointed VP of Corporate Controlling and Investor Relations Miquel Angel Serra as Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Joan Albiol, who has held the role since 2009.Ulta Beauty has promoted Kristin Wolf to Chief Strategy & Growth Officer, a newly elevated role that underscores the beauty and wellness retailer’s focus on international expansion and long-term, sustainable growth. Wolf will continue to lead corporate strategy, corporate development and new growth initiatives, while expanding her scope to drive value creation and partner across the organization in support of the company’s ongoing integration of AI.Glossier has appointed Nicole Solorzano as its new Chief Marketing Officer, poaching her from her role as Head of Marketing at haircare brand Ouai.Australian department store Myer has appointed Isobel McNally as its new General Manager (GM) of Merchandise for Beauty. Previously, McNally served as GM of Merchandise at Mecca.
